Iqbal Hussain: The Painter of Imprisoned Souls

April 17th - June 5th, 2010 Considered one of Pakistan's most controversial artists, Hussain hails from Lahore's Heera Mandi, once a cultural district of the city where performing artists and stars of the silver screen emerged and where music and dance thrived. Today,it is a red light district of exploited women born into the travails of life with little or no hope of escape.
